Low Battery Life?

car battery prices 300x300 Low Battery Life?Every one hates the dead battery problem, and it happens to every one. The dealership you buy from like Worcester Nissan and Ford Incentives can give you a estimate on how long your battery will last. A dead battery is bad, but it gets worse if you don’t replace it. Even great cars like Peoria Volkswagen can get a dead battery. If you keep charging your battery at night stop. Give it a rest you don’t want the battery to leak acid and hurt you. Make sure that when your battery dies you get a replace meant, and if you can’t figure out how to do it take it to a shop.

Having a dead battery is horrible, but make sure you look for the signs before you end up in the snow or rain some where. If your car is taking a little longer to get started make sure you get the battery checked. There are tools you can buy that will read how much battery life you have left, and if you don’t even want to look under the hood take it to the shop.

Messing around with a engine is not a good thing if you don’t know what you are doing. Keep in mind safety is first. If you jump a car drive it home or to a shop. Do not continue to run around. A dead battery will only come back to life so many times before it starts to leak, or the heat and pressure messes up other parts of your engine.

Look for any signs of your battery dieing, and make sure you turn off anything that runs on the battery when you leave the car. Leaving any of that on when you leave the car will drain your battery in less then a day.

Road Trip!

RoadTrip 300x225 Road Trip!Getting ready for a road trip? Make sure you have a great car so check out all the amazing deals at Volkswagen Deals! Also make sure you check out all the great cars at Louisville Honda! Is your car ready for the trip, or do you just think it is? Going on a road trip is never a easy thing to do. If you have a big family and pets good luck, but you can make it a safe trip. There are certain things that need to be done to the car before you get out on the road, but the first thing you need is a reliable car so make sure you check out KSMO used car lots!

The first thing to do is make sure your tires are full and at the right pressure, and make sure you pack a spare or two. After that it is making sure that all the car’s fluids are filled.

The car’s oil is the most important, and if you just changed your oil 1,000 miles ago you will need to do it again. Keep in mind that you will be racking up a lot of miles on your car, and you dont want to get stuck out in the middle of no where.

Another thing to remember is to bring extra items with you that might come in handy. A couple extra bottles of oil, and transmission fluid. You will also want to keep some extra fuel with you. Make sure it is properly stored and handled.

Road trips might be fun some times, but remember to get your AC checked if you are traveling in the summer. The same thing goes for winter get your heater checked.

Keep in mind that even new cars can run into problems on the road. A flat tire is always possible, and some times a oil line can break. The older the car the more likely you are to run into problems. It can simply be that there are to many miles on the engine. Always check to see if your car is ready for a road trip before you leave.

Get With the Program; Cars, That Is!

Car Driving Get With the Program; Cars, That Is!When you go used car shopping, you are usually looking for the absolute best value out there. You will scour all Kansas city used car lots in hopes of coming across an amazing deal. You will probably even check out the brand name dealerships like Peoria VW to see what kind of rebate and incentive programs they are running. If you stop by Chevrolet Dayton during your new car quest, ask the salesman about something called program cars.

Program cars, according to Edmunds, are executive, factory, or finance vehicles. The main concern when buying a used vehicle is the reliability and potential problems you could face. When you buy a program car, you are buying a car that a brand name company employee drove for business related purposes. Perhaps the finance manager at an Infiniti dealership wanted to boost sales. One suggestion he could make would be to have an employee drive that vehicle as a form of advertisement. These cars are incredibly well maintained because the dealership makes sure they are kept in absolute pristine condition. These cars are then put up for auction before they rack up 10,000 miles and later sold at a dealership.

Dealerships are usually eager to find these cars at auction because they are in such great shape. The cars have only been driven by the higher-up corporate or factory employees, and then sold at the brand name dealership. The auction prices are low, and they make a decent profit for the entire company. Imagine if you found a program car Ford Fusion. While the Fusion is not outrageously priced to begin with, but if you could find a less than one year old vehicle at a huge discount it would be great. Plus, you have peace of mind because that car has been well maintained.

Similar to the “open item” discounts you can find at appliance stores, program cars still come with their full manufacturer’s warranty.  The only difference is someone drove the car for a while, but it was incredibly well taken care of!

Think You Bought a Lemon?

Lemon Law Think You Bought a Lemon?

Imagine you are driving down the street in your new car when you hear a loud clink-bang-boom and then you car stalls in the middle of the road.  If you are like most people, you get angry and start looking for someone to blame for your misfortune.  Perhaps the dealership or private owner you just bought that new car from sold you a lemon?

If you bought a new car, chances are you went to a dealership like Boston Nissan, and your warranty should take care of the issue and that’s the end of the story.  Some dealerships might even try to make-up for your bad luck by giving you perks; Ford incentives might include a complimentary oil change or car wash.  However, if you find yourself spending 30 days in the first 12,000 miles of ownership with your mechanic, you might want to start researching your state’s lemon law.

If you purchased a used car, hope that your vehicle was still under manufacturer’s warranty, your purchased an extended warranty, or it was a certified used car.  Without those lines of protection, the only chance you can reclaim your losses are if your used vehicle had been in a flood, stolen, previously salvaged, a police or taxi car, or the odometer had been rolled back.  Some states have laws that protect the buyer in the case that the seller did not disclose known mechanical problems, but read your state’s laws carefully before hiring an attorney. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act was enacted in 1975 to protect consumers for items costing more than $25.  It also prohibits manufacturers from creating weak or unfair warranties on their products.  Often the attorney fees are covered under the Act, but research your state’s lemon laws before hiring an attorney.  If your state says that your car is sweet, not sour, then you’ll be glad you waited.  Lemon laws are in place to protect the consumer, but only after it has been determined your vehicle is a lemon by your state.
