If the air conditioner in your car is non-functional, then you have a problem. Head to an Car AC Repair Bradenton shop and get it checked out. If you don’t the heat will have you considering going to find a used car dealer Tampa for something that will blow cold air. You will be willing to try anything because it is going to be hot this summer, but we aren’t about to talk about global warming.

It’s a pretty well known fact that if you are constantly blasting your air conditioning you will cause your car to do a proverbial keg-stand on it’s own gas tank – even if you are driving something smart and fuel efficient. If you really are willing to try anything to save yourself some gas money then these 3 tips will help your air conditioner save you gas money.

3. Don’t blast the AC: I know it’s hard. In southern Georgia we regularly get temperatures in the 100s with high humidity during the summer. Fan speed of your AC system does not affect your MPG, but your air conditioning can reduce your vehicle’s fuel economy by 10 percent. Get the air cool with the AC then use the recycle inside air. Your car won’t work as hard to keep the climate comfortable.

2. Park in the shade: The cooler you can keep your car while it is parked the less work it will have to do to cool down. If you can’t park in the garage or in the shade somewhere get a windshield shade. They are inexpensive and you can get a unique one. Eventually it will pay for itself.

1. Roll down the window: At speeds under 40 miles per hour, like stop and go traffic in town and whatnot, having the window down versus having the AC on will save you gas. As you increase speeds up over 45 miles per hour the drag due to your windows being open will be more detrimental to your fuel economy than running the AC.

Think of it this way:

Driving in town, 0-40 MPH: AC off and windows down = more $$$

Driving on the open road, 40-40+ MPH: AC on and windows up = more $$$

If this still isn’t doing enough to save you some serious gas money then maybe it’s time for you to take a look at the Chevrolet Spark. It’s an electric car that can switch over to gas when it’s battery runs out. You can get pretty far on the electric motor though.

One of the best things about Sprinter Dealership Miami is that their new vehicles come with great modern technological gadgets that improve the overall driving experience. However, despite the fact that the majority of consumers these days are driving new vehicles, we still have an abundance of consumers under the impression that they need to let their vehicle warm up and idle for a few minutes every morning. Some of the electric cars at Seattle Nissan Dealership are equipped with technology that actually let the driver warm up the interior of the car without actually turning on the engine. Sadly, the majority of the cars sold at St. Charles Nissan Dealerships don’t have the ability to just turn on the passenger cabin thermostat without actually turning on the engine.

The vehicles that are produced these days have great fuel injection technology so there is no need to let the vehicle idle for more than 30 seconds or so in the mornings. The whole idea behind idling is to get the oil moving around, and that process is good after 30 seconds. Older vehicles with carburetors will still want to let their vehicles properly warm up, but everyone else can pretty much turn the key and drive away!

If some of you still need some convincing, keep in mind that when you are idling you are getting 0 mpg! Auto engineers from Ford are working on getting stop-start technology on their vehicles so that when you come to a complete stop, the vehicle will turn off. Then, as soon as your foot comes up from the brake pedal, the engine will turn back over within a fraction of a second. For people who live in wintery climates, idling is not always about the health of your engine but more so the fact that you don’t want to scrape the ice off your windshield or drive to work shivering. Ideally you would park your vehicle in a garage and alleviate those problems altogether. A carport is the next best thing and another tip is to place a large piece of cardboard over your windshield at night so you can easily remove it and all the accumulated ice in the mornings without having to scrape!

In a tight economy like the one we are in today, many people want to know how they can possibly save extra money. We have some tips on saving some gas money while you are driving around in your Monroeville Honda vehicle. First of all, good job on buying from Honda, one of the most fuel efficient brands on the market today. Secondly, the smaller cars at Portland Honda Dealer are really attractive and come with plenty of features to keep their drivers happy. That being said, we all know that many people are the happiest when they are saving money, so keep reading to learn how you can save money on gasoline and also reduce your carbon footprint.

One of the biggest wastes of gas when you are driving a Toyota Dealer CA vehicle is to idle unnecessarily. The experts all agree that if you are going to be stopped for more than a minute that you should turn your vehicle completely off rather than idle. When you idle, you are essentially getting 0 mpg, and no one likes to just throw their money away like that! Another tip is to look at the way that you drive your vehicle. Unless you are a drag racer, there is no reason to speed off the starting line as soon as the light turns green. We all know that slow and steady wins the race, and those people who speed off as soon as the light turns green just waste a huge chunk of gas with that quick acceleration, and chances are they are going to get stuck at the next red light anyhow!

When you are on the highway, take advantage of the cruise control feature that your vehicle hopefully comes equipped with. Set your speed to as close to 55 mph as you can stomach; research shows that for every 5 mph increment that you go above 55 mpg your fuel efficiency drops by 10%. Plus, if you use your cruise control, your fuel consumption will even out and there won’t be times that you punch the accelerator to pass someone and guzzle up a significant amount of your gas at the same time.

People who head over to Boiling Springs Dodge are not likely to be too concerned with their fuel economy because Dodge vehicles are known for the excessive power and diesel consumption. But for the rest of us, buying a new car is not near as simple as it used to be. While we are still concerned when we go to Champion Ford Dealers about how many passengers the car can carry, how safe it is, and how cool it looks, drivers are also wondering about different ways to power their vehicle. With brands like Boulder Toyota Dealers making profits by selling hybrid cars and Nissan and Chevy producing cars that you plug-in at night, the choices are abundant. To borrow a quote from Alfred P. Sloan of General Motors, there really will be “A car for every purse and purpose.”

Consumers need to do some homework before heading to the dealership. Not all brands offer the new fuel alternative vehicles. There are electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, traditional combustion engines that use gasoline, diesel engines, cars that use flex fuel, compressed natural gas cars, and hydrogen-fuel cell cars. The list probably does extend beyond that, but these are the most common. You need to really ask your salesman a lot of in-depth questions to make sure that an alternative fuel source vehicle is a good match for you.

The electric vehicles seem like a guaranteed sure bet until you really think about the logistics of the scenario. For people who live in an apartment, how are you going to charge your vehicle every night and be assured it is safe and secure? What about people that live out in the country; what are you going to do if your charge runs low and you are far from home? The E85 or flex fuel gas vehicles have the same issues. Not all gas stations carry the low emissions fuel, so long distance drives have to be carefully planned out.

When gas prices get high, most automotive consumers who bought their car at Columbia Honda don’t have much of a problem. However, if you were one of the many who bought a truck or other gas-guzzling vehicle from Arlington Dodge Dealers, it may very well be a problem.

Most gasoline and oil industry analysts are saying prices could go even higher. If you have a certified Volkswagen Pasadena then you may be sure to be on your toes, especially if your car takes the higher premium, more expensive gasoline.

The average price of $2.80 this past Sunday seemed to be reasonable to most who are used to inclined prices, but for those who study the statistics 32.6 cents more then the same time last year is not exactly a good thing. That’s right, 32.6 cents, which is also the highest it has been since May!

Crude oil prices are not taking a back-seat to the higher prices either, they have risen 4.2% this year as well. More then that, they are known to be 11% higher then mid-September prices alone and even the future heating oil prices have risen to the occasion with a 7% increase!

Here’s why:

1) Insufficient Dollar: When crude oil is bought to be converted for our various uses in our automobiles, it is priced in dollars, and paid in such. When the dollar does not hold its value correctly, the prices increase. When prices increase on the price of oil before it is converted for every-day use, the profit-loss ratio is assessed at a much higher level causing the bigger loss portion to create a bigger profit amount needed. Thus, gas prices go higher and our wallets get thinner!

2) Refining Capacities: Gasoline refineries have been operating at a much lower capacity then average. Most have all the extra routine maintenance as what is to blame.
