The Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord are both cars that have loyal consumers. Both the automakers have the “I will never buy anything but…” and that is what they both need. Comparing both vehicles, they are pretty much eye to eye. The automakers both had the reputation of their vehicles lasting forever, well that was until Toyota had their recalls. Even though it has died down, there have been other recalls that shows that Toyota has been knocked off their pedestal. Some still do believe in their Toyota, while others have changed their minds. Washington DC Toyota Dealership started to see somewhat of a decline in consecutive months. Honda Accord ranks 7 out of 20 for “Most Affordable Midsize Cars” according to U.S. News Auto Rankings. Toyota Camry ranks also in the top ten at 9 out of 20 for the “Most Affordable Midsize Cars” also. Even the Mazda 6 ranks 11 out of 20 for the “Most Affordable” and it has more style. So far, there are no reports of the 2011 Toyota Camry having accelerating problems but they have been just released into the market.

In both vehicles, the dependability and reliability have been key features. Both of the vehicles have had a make over a couple years past. Both automakers have updated their interior somewhat. I especially, do not like either one of the looks. It almost seems that both automakers are so cemented with “if it has worked in the past why change it?” Neither car has any personality coming from it. There is no design flare, not a spec of intriguing design. Its plain and mundane. Even the interior, if you are not purchasing the top model with the navigation, touch screen, leather and back up cameras, they look out dated. Nothing there to impress me at all. The structure of the electronic buttons mimic a feeling of the “1980′s”. Both automakers have competition that is blowing them out of the water, especially in design. Look at the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, it has just about everyone talking and taking Hyundai from “it’s just a Hyundai” to “Oh, that’s a Hyundai?”
