Why Vehicle History Reports are Important

carfax 300x235 Why Vehicle History Reports are Important

Before purchasing a pre-owned vehicle it is very important to also purchase a vehicle history report. If you are getting a Philadelphia Bad Credit Auto Loan for a vehicle and you are not sure of the quality of the vehicle or how good of a condition the previous owner kept the vehicle in, you can quell some of your worries by purchasing a vehicle history report. You need the VIN number of the vehicle to get the history report which can be supplied to you by the dealer or te owner of the vehicle, and it is located under the windshield on the dashboard or in other locations depending on the vehicle model. Models sold at Burlington Mazda may be in great condition, and most dealers like this one will offer you a vehicle history report before your purchase so that you can see the condition and history of the vehicle for yoruself

Also check out Calgary Mazda Car Financing for great deals on new and pre-owned Mazda vehicle models which are affordable for a wide range of budgets. NADA, the National Automobile Dealers Association estimates that Hurricane Katrina damaged over 500,000 vehicles on its own. This is not including the many thousands of other vehicles that have been involved in flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters. Vehicle history reports will show you whether or not these vehicles have been involved in natural disasters and have been restored.

You should use a service like Carfax or Autocheck to see whether the vehicle is a lemon or not. You can find out if the vehicle was involved in an accident and save potentially thousands of dollars on repairs on a vehicle. Vehicle history reports also have exclusive information like auction data which you cannot find anywhere else. So be sure to get a vehicle history report before buying any vehicle just to have a little more peace of mind!

Used Cars to Avoid!

Used Cars Used Cars to Avoid!

There are many perks to buying a used car; save money, lower insurance rate, and great value.  Buying a new car from Pittsburgh Mercedes-Benz Dealers will always be a thrill, and driving that new beautiful car home for the first time will likely be unforgettable.  However, it is only so great until you get your first payment due!  Then you might wish you had checked out the used inventory a bit closer while you were shopping at New York Nissan Dealers.  While you are out shopping, if you are leaning towards the used car market, make sure you are careful and run if you encounter any of the following situations.

First off, you will want to get a car history report on your intended purchase.  This is going to tell you any major accidents or damage that has happened to the vehicle.  If you find a vehicle with flood damage, then you will want to keep shopping!  Unless you are a mechanic or are willing to put the time and money into repairing this vehicle, it will be more of a headache than it is worth.  Also, in addition to the accident history, you will want proof that the vehicle was serviced regularly, perhaps from a place like Los Angeles Toyota Quick Lube Dealers.  This is important because you want to make sure your car was well maintained.

Another car you will never want to purchase is one with a salvaged title.  It is highly unlikely that an insurance company would give away their money by declaring a fully operational vehicle as totaled unless it really was totaled.  Plus, it is next to impossible to find an insurance company that will insure you with a salvage title.  Don’t let the above things scare you away from your next used car purchase; rather, use it as encouragement to do your homework before making a purchase.

Better Used Car Buys!

When it comes to used cars, it makes it hard not to just pass up the idea to a new car offered at one of the well-know Pittsburgh Ford Dealers, but when you really take into consideration the money you save as well as the time it takes off to pay off car loans that most average car buyers have to take on, used cars can be more worth it then you think. You can save yourself from a limited selection that you would find at some St. George Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dealers, and instead find yourself immersed with a much better quality car with all the great gadgets and gizmos for literally the same price!

tips buying good used car Better Used Car Buys!

Yes, buying used can be scary but with all the great tips and car knowledge out there, it would be hard to make mistakes just as long as you followed the advice! Plus, just because you are buying used doesn’t mean you still can’t go to your beloved Denver Ford Dealers and ask for their certified pre-owned inventory. Shopping certified pre-owned can get you an affordable price on a more valuable car that meets your budget and still comes with its very own warranties and accessories!

So how do you do this and still get your money’s worth out of the car while also making sure the car is worth it in the first place? First off, start by asking for a Carfax history report, or a history report by a credible source. Doing so will help to make sure the car has not been involved in any accidents, but can also reveal a lot about what kind of hands the car has been in prior to your possible possession of it.

Carmax has been known to be a great well-known and trusted dealership that has provided great resources, and even better cars under blue book value and right in your budget. They give you everything from an inspection by a mechanic to a complete history on the report and also even offer an extended warranty for your car if you choose to buy themselves.

Don’t pass the chance up to buy a perfectly good car, at a perfectly good price for what you would buy a new car with. After all, not all past car owners have done things to harm their car. There are still plenty of glistening gems to find, it is just up to you to go discover them!

Car Safety Technology!

Car Seat Front Seat Car Safety Technology!

Volkswagen should be proud of themselves, with four of their vehicles being awarded the Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety!  As vehicles get safer and smarter, there are some key features you want to make sure your next car from Denver Land Rover have installed.  Plus, many of these features come standard with some brands but other places are going to make you pay for them as an optional upgrade.  Buying new gives you the advantage of working with experts about the specific model you are looking at.  Buying used from Cincinnati Used Car Auctions can be a smorgasbord of vehicles makes, models, and years, so you as the consumer need to do a bit more homework before agreeing to buy.  Keep your eye out for some of these safety features and you’ll have a great car!

1)      Look for a car with some sort of tire monitoring system.  The NHTSA requires that passenger vehicles made after 2008 that weigh less than 10,000 pounds need to have a tire-pressure monitoring system.  Your vehicle will alert you if the pressure gets too low and some vehicles come with run-flat tires, which are expensive but convenient.

2)     Some sort of emergency system that will work in your favor in the event of an accident.  GM has been putting OnStar in their vehicle’s for years now, and all models come with one year free subscription.  BMW Assist offers a similar program and Volkswagen models will turn on your hazard lights and disconnect the battery from your alternator if your airbags are deployed.

3)     Passenger sensitive airbags.  If you have a passenger that weighs less than a specified amount, the airbags in the front passenger seat will be turned off.  This is useful if you absolutely must put a car seat in the front seat, as airbags are not safe for babies and small children.  Some of the newer and more advanced airbags can even detect if you are sitting far forward or leaning back and will adjust deployment of the airbags if needed.

Benefits of Buying a Used Vehicle

2010 chevy equinox 300x213 Benefits of Buying a Used Vehicle

Just as there are many benefits of buying a new vehicle from a Subaru Dealer Birmingham or other dealer as previously mentioned, there are also disadvantages.  Not every new vehicle for instance will have the reliability that you would expect in a new vehicle.  Reliability may depend on the model year, brand, vehicle, and other factors.  A new Ford vehicle under its warranty can be serviced for free at an Ohio Ford Service because the vehicle has a warranty that will cover many defects.  Used vehicles generally do not have these warranties, however in many cases they can be purchased at an extra cost.  Considering the fact that most new car warranties are adding into the price, buying an extended warranty for a used model purchased at a Volkswagen Dealer or other dealership is not a bad idea.

Used vehicles obviously have the benefit of a lower price.  This is the major reason why most people buy a used model.  They end up saving thousands of dollars off of retail prices, even if the car has just a few thousand miles on it.  New cars depreciate rapidly, and some models depreciate faster than others.  Used models are a great choice for those on a budget, and most people are on a budget.  Used vehicles may even be low enough to be purchased completely in cash.  This is a great option for those who need a vehicle without financing, or for those who prefer to buy a vehicle without having to worry about payments.

Used vehicles can be just as reliable as new vehicles.  The important thing to do is to have the vehicle thoroughly inspected by a mechanic for faults before you buy it.  You can buy a vehicle from a used car dealership, but be aware that they may not inform you of all the problems with the vehicle upfront.  You should do your own investigation to make sure the vehicle is of the highest quality before buying it.

Taking a Test-Drive!

Car Driving1 Taking a Test Drive!

Are you in the market to buy a new or used car?  If so, then you should keep reading!  One of the most important parts of the car shopping process at Arizona Volkswagen or anywhere else for that matter is the test drive.  Buying a car is like buying a new mattress; you really are going to spend a good chunk of your life there, and you want to make sure it is comfortable and you love everything about it!  There are tons of Ford Specials going on right now, and Ford is known for their great fuel economy and safety ratings.  But, if you are in the market for something a bit more expensive and luxurious, check out Pittsburgh Mercedes-Benz Dealers and see what you need to do so that you can test drive one of their luxury models.

When you get the chance to sit behind the driver’s seat and are ready to go on your test drive, take a few moments to adjust the seat, mirrors, and steering wheel for your comfort preferences.  Even raising or lowering the seat belt can make a world of difference during your drive, and some of the newer models even have adjustable pedals!  During the drive, the salesman will take you on a predetermined route through town.  You should get to experience a wide array of driving conditions, some of which should be highway driving, going up and down hills, a curvy road, and traffic areas.  You will want to take note of how the vehicle responds and brakes, two of the most important features to help you avoid a collision.  Don’t be afraid to stop or swerve suddenly, but remember to do so in a safe manner.  Typically the routes take you on a quiet spot where you can do a quick stop without fear of the person behind you rear ending you.  Lastly, during the drive, look for all your blind spots.  Something consumers frequently complain about later is the lack of visibility when changing lanes; so practice now and avoid being unhappy later.  If you live in a big city and parallel park frequently, do that on your test drive.  Whatever it is you use your vehicle for on a daily basis, you should try to mimic that on your test drive.

Commuter Car Shopping Tips: Part 2

23 Commute Commuter Car Shopping Tips: Part 2

Any of the incredibly fuel efficient vehicles you will find at Honda Hartford will make excellent commuter cars.  If you find that you spend hours and hours in your car every day, you should go somewhere like a Salem Nissan Dealer and ask the salesmen which vehicle is the most comfortable.  Better yet, head on over to VW Peoria and ask the employees there who has the longest commute and then find out what vehicle they drive and if they like it or not.  Aside from reading helpful online articles, asking people in person what their real-life experiences are is probably the best advice you will find.

For anyone that has ever sat in Los Angeles traffic, you remember it being a million times worse than it really is if your vehicle has a manual transmission.  If you have to commute daily, make sure your vehicle has an automatic transmission.  It is true that an automatic transmission is going to cost about $1,000 more than a standard and slightly lower your fuel economy.  If you must get a manual, make sure it has an accommodating first gear!

For all the time you spend in your car, you need to be safely entertained.  Do not go install a TV in the passenger dash, but rather, opt for satellite radio, a CD changer, auxiliary jack for MP3 player, or even the new models that let you download music to your car’s hard drive.  Also, look for a vehicle that has the volume and radio controls mounted on the steering wheel.  If you are an avid carpooler, invest in a radio with a remote control so that your passengers can easily take control of the radio and leave you free to concentrate on driving.

While you are test-driving a vehicle, look for the bumpiest road you can find and check out how the car does at controlling road noise.  Also, how does the suspension handle the vibrations?  Not all highways are in the best of condition, and the constant road vibration felt through the steering wheel can make your hands exhausted and sore.  Make sure you check behind you during the test-drive to ensure you don’t buy a car with a lot of blind spots.  Lastly, and it should almost go without saying, your perfect commuter car should have amazing fuel economy!

Commuter Car Shopping Tips: Part 1

7 Commuter Commuter Car Shopping Tips: Part 1

The new Ford Fiesta which will be available at any North Carolina Ford Dealer once it is released stateside makes an excellent commuter car; affordable, small, fuel efficient, and comfortable.  The Chevrolet Cobalt gets an estimated 37 mpg on the highway, which is amazing fuel economy.  The Cobalt is available as a sedan or a coupe and both models can be found at Chevrolet Detroit or your local Chevrolet dealership.

Edmunds is a trusted automotive expert website and offers lots of tips and advice.  They compiled a list of things that people need to have if they are in the market for a commuter car.  If you are commuting you want to make sure you can fit in the first parking spot you come upon.  The small exteriors available on models from Peoria VW definitely will make parking in the smallest spot a simple task.  However, if you were driving a large vehicle, you could end up spending valuable time looking for a spot.  The only reason you would need a larger sized vehicle would be if your job required frequent hauling capabilities.

If you are going to be sitting behind the wheel for hours and hours, you want to make sure that the seats are comfortable.  Make sure you test the passenger and back seats as well; the members of your car pool will thank you later!  Because everyone has a different definition of comfort, look for models that offer adjustable seat functions.  Volvo is known for their power controlled fully adjustable seats, including side bolstering and adjustable lumbar support.  The nice thing about power controls is that once you have adjusted the closeness to the pedals for your leg length, you can fine-tune the comfort of your seat while you are en route.  The rear seats on newer model vehicles often have a valuable reclining feature and adjustable head rest.  If you are opting to have heated seats, see if your desired vehicle comes with a seat cooling function as well.

The other rather important thing you need to check for is the cup holders and other storage nooks within the vehicle.  Having a multi-compartment console or above-dash storage compartment really helps your vehicle stay organized.  Bring your coffee cup with you when you are car shopping.  There is nothing worse than having cup holders that are not functional or are the completely wrong size.

Get With the Program; Cars, That Is!

Car Driving Get With the Program; Cars, That Is!When you go used car shopping, you are usually looking for the absolute best value out there. You will scour all Kansas city used car lots in hopes of coming across an amazing deal. You will probably even check out the brand name dealerships like Peoria VW to see what kind of rebate and incentive programs they are running. If you stop by Chevrolet Dayton during your new car quest, ask the salesman about something called program cars.

Program cars, according to Edmunds, are executive, factory, or finance vehicles. The main concern when buying a used vehicle is the reliability and potential problems you could face. When you buy a program car, you are buying a car that a brand name company employee drove for business related purposes. Perhaps the finance manager at an Infiniti dealership wanted to boost sales. One suggestion he could make would be to have an employee drive that vehicle as a form of advertisement. These cars are incredibly well maintained because the dealership makes sure they are kept in absolute pristine condition. These cars are then put up for auction before they rack up 10,000 miles and later sold at a dealership.

Dealerships are usually eager to find these cars at auction because they are in such great shape. The cars have only been driven by the higher-up corporate or factory employees, and then sold at the brand name dealership. The auction prices are low, and they make a decent profit for the entire company. Imagine if you found a program car Ford Fusion. While the Fusion is not outrageously priced to begin with, but if you could find a less than one year old vehicle at a huge discount it would be great. Plus, you have peace of mind because that car has been well maintained.

Similar to the “open item” discounts you can find at appliance stores, program cars still come with their full manufacturer’s warranty.  The only difference is someone drove the car for a while, but it was incredibly well taken care of!

Why you should buy used?

ss 2566292 carKeys 300x172 Why you should buy used?Buying used is a smart thing to do even if you are buying from a used car dealership like Bradenton Used Cars. It saves you money and lots of it. When you buy used you don’t have to worry about the interest rate, and you can talk the price down most of the time. If you buy new make sure you check our respectable dealerships like Seattle Honda, and also check out all the great deals at VW Deals.

There is a couple risks when you are buying used, but all you have to do is check over everything. Make sure the engine still runs, and listen for any weird sounds. Check the interior for rips, and see if the radio still works. Also go over the exterior make sure there are no major dents.

Each little thing you find wrong you can use to mark the price down. Buying used cars or trucks is just making your money work for you.

Keep in mind used cars may not be as pretty as new cars, but most of the time you end up with a car that has old fashioned raw power. The used car market is huge, and you can always find some thing you love with out paying a arm or a leg for it.

There is only one problem with some older cars, and that is the gas mileage. That problem can be fixed in a couple different ways. You can upgrade the engine, buy a new engine and keep the classic body, or move on. The car market is huge, and the 2000 models of cars and trucks are mostly very good on gas mileage.

Buying used cars is not for every one. Most of the time every one goes for the new car smell over saving money, but buying used is perfect for others. It saves you money, and it doesn’t charge you extra in payments and interest rates.
